The sacred shrine is the last initiation ceremony of a young man who matures and becomes a man.

He will do so by entering the sacred forest and surviving for at least one month, without any means of communication or resources.
The future initiates called "ambathe" attend training workshops led by the elders.

They prepare them for the future ceremony, especially with public dance sessions.
